Doting sisters

We've been absent from our blog for a few days - helping our kids get over colds, stomach bugs, and sleepless nights from coughing. Both girls are on the mend, though not in perfect health just yet. Still, though, when they see each other, they immediately forget any sad feelings related to their sickness, and they shower each other with affection.

In other news, Nalini seems to be in the process of making a landmark discovery: she has fingers that fit in her mouth! We have recently switched from the "Miracle Blanket" swaddling to sleeping bags to keep Nalini warm at night. The Miracle Blanket swaddled her arms next to her sides so that she wouldn't startle herself awake with unintentional arm movements. But, she's been getting too big for swaddling now, and she's loved the sleeping bags for comfort and warmth (thanks, Pam!). Not to mention, her hands are free for additional exploration now. I think we have another thumb sucker in the making here. At this young age, we like the freedom to self-soothe that thumb sucking gives, but we are also relieved by Sonali's announcement the other day that she "won't suck her thumb anymore in preschool."

Preschool! Starting in two weeks!! When did she get so big?!

You're welcome! I'm so glad Nalini likes the sleeping bag. Sonali's bed is so pretty with the pink polka dots. And both your daughters are beautiful! I hope everyone feels all the way better soon.

Time flies when you are having fun. Happy 2 months Birthday to Nalini. They look cute together on the big bed, especially their sizes.
Have fun.
