Ho ho ho

Today was an early Christmas in the Fiorillo household since our flight is tomorrow morning. Sonali and Dad made some cookies for Santa last night, and he didn't even leave any crumbs for us this morning.

Last year, we were still helping Sonali to figure out how to unwrap presents. This year, she was a pro!

At first, she felt the present frenzy and wanted to open every package as fast as possible. We got her to slow down a bit, and she swung to the other side of the pendulum - wanting to play with or try on every single gift as she opened it. Here is Sonali modeling some cool new Christmas clothes including Christmas socks and a snazzy watch.

And here is Sonali reading a funny book from Mommy while wearing her new robe ("just like Mommy and Daddy") from Didima.

I've just come downstairs from the fourth time putting Sonali to sleep for her nap. We started gathering everything up this morning to pack our luggage, and she's been crying, "I want to go to the beach RIGHT NOW!" ever since. She's not being pushy or rude - she just doesn't understand what we're waiting for. We tried calling the pilot (JishuMama) who explained that he was too busy to fly until tomorrow morning, but she continues to be hopeful that we'll leave earlier.

Well, on the bright side, if she won't sleep here, maybe we'll all sleep on the plane tomorrow!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
