The calm before the storm
Where did the summer go? It's pouring rain here now, and it's getting into the 50s over night. Our pool is still open, but the number of usable days is rapidly dwindling. The new medical students are already here, and the graduate students arrive in two days. The kids finished their first year at preschool together, and next week they are off school. Jason and I will be juggling our schedules to allow me to report to work for the first week of classes and take care of the kids on the other days, so things will be rather hectic as the fall semester "storm" descends!
Here's our annual end-of-summer trip down memory lane to help us hang onto summer just a bit longer.
August 2006, Sonali 13 months old
August 2007, Sonali 25 months old
August 2008, Sonali 3 years old and Nalini 2 months old!
August 2009, Sonali 4 years old and Nalini 14 months old!
What can I say? I can't resist matching outfits once in a while - at least while I am still able to have some role in choosing their clothes!
When school starts up again after Labor Day for the girls, Sonali will be in Older Preschool - the last year of preschool before kindergarten. Wow! And Nalini will be moving up to Toddler One with Aisha, one of our favorite teachers in the preschool. They are growing up so fast! Mark your calendars, folks: Older Preschool graduation June 17, 2010. Anyone who is interested in coming is welcome!

It was a lovely stroll down the memory lane with the children. Some years you like more than the others and you want to hold on to them. It seems 2008 won the prize. Two sisters look cool in their summer outfits. We enjoy the pictures and the school events. Every child in the school is a famous artist even at this very young age.

Weird, Rohan's daycare teacher's name is also Aisha.
