Happy birthday again!

Sonali has had a string of parties to celebrate her birthday, but I think last weekend's party with all of her preschool friends was especially fun for her. Sonali and Eliza, a fellow preschooler with a July birthday, had a joint pool party at our house, and sharing the day made things more fun for both the kids and adults.

When the kids started arriving, they jumped in the pool as fast as they could!

All that swimming worked up a big appetite, so Sonali and friends decided to picnic on her pool towel to enjoy Dad's famous barbeque cooking. 

Everyone had a great time enjoying the company of Sonali's friends and their families who are our friends now too! The guests also had fun with the pinata that Eliza's family brought to share. The 4 year olds did a good job bopping the horse, but Eliza's 8 year old brother delivered the key blow. The drama of this event sent a couple of guests running to their mothers, but once they saw the candy and toys inside, all fears were forgotten.

The girls also shared a yummy cake with their friends, and it was certainly plenty big enough to have candles for both birthday girls.

We were also lucky that Linda was able to arrange her schedule to join us in the fun! We are all so glad that she was able to come and see the kids again and look forward to our next visit together.
