Pomp and Circumstance

Around our house we've been eagerly anticipating Sonali's preschool graduation for MONTHS. It seems like just yesterday when we were watching from the sidelines with 11-month old Sonali in our arms. This time, she was the performer and the graduate.

Simply put, she was great. She sang her heart out, knew all the hand motions, and smiled her way through it to charm her guests, our neighbors, Grandma, Didima, JishuMama, RichaMamima, and of course, Mom, Dad, and Nalini.

Here's our graduate with her proud family. The yellow sash was a special touch for graduates who have gone to school at the Barn for all 5 years of their young lives.

Nalini, RichaMamima, Mom, and Didima all loved the lengthy 15 minute ceremony. It's possible that the pictures took as long as the whole graduation.

And here's Sonali with her two teachers, Mrs. Miller and Ms. Miller. No, that is not a typo. And they are not related.

Then, there was a suddend and intense need for magic and food, so we headed off to a "picnic" in the gym with some entertainment from Bonaparte the magician. It was a great day, and we were so glad to be able to share it with our family and friends. Thank you to everyone for joining us!
