The Easter Bunny braves the flood water to visit Wellesley
Hi Folks,
Many apologies for our extended blog break. As you may know, the whole New England area has been hit hard by extreme storms that have cased extensive flooding throughout the region. We lost our carpet, walls, wedding pictures, furnace, and other items in our basement. Ugh! But, in an attempt to turn lemons into lemonade, we are using this an excuse to explore significant improvements to our home. More on that later, as we make decisions.
But in the meantime, I wanted to share some pictures from the (thankfully) sunny and warm Easter weekend we had.
Once the sun came out, Nalini felt the urge to don her sunglasses.
It definitely sent me down memory lane to when Sonali was this age! See our first diva below.
Luckily, in spite of the flooding, the Easter Bunny found our home and left many toys, books, and of course, chocolate. Nalini was so excited about the chocolate that she didn't pause to unwrap it before eating it, so I spent the morning fishing pastel foil out of her mouth.
After the baskets, we headed down the street to our neighbor's annual egg hunt. One of the host parents single-handedly stuffs roughly one thousand eggs and "hides" them all over her lawn for the neighborhood kids to find. There is a cap on the number of eggs per child, so this encourages big kids to help the little ones add to their baskets. As you can see, though, Nalini is not interested in waiting for help from any of the big kids.
She already knows just what to do!
This is the important post-hunt candy conference to compare the haul.

It's so good to see new pictures; hope the flooding is behind you all now!
