Merry Christmas!!

Although this is technically Sonali's second Christmas, it is the first that she is old enough to participate in. We've already been having a great holiday!

The three of us are at home after a fall filled with travel, more travel, work, work, work, surgery, etc, we decided that we just weren't prepared to battle the holiday crowds in the airports with toddler in tow. Instead, we've been taking it easy here at our house. Last night, we went to a neighbor's house for Christmas Eve dinner - tamales, yum! - where Sonali helped herself to the cheese and cracker buffet. She even spread her favorite cheese on crackers all by herself! We also let Sonali open her first gift last night, and if you ever wondered whether love at first sight existed, check out the picture below:

(Thanks, Grandma!)

The two are inseparable, and Sonali is often shushing her Daddy to make sure he doesn't wake up the baby.

Also, Santa found our house last night...

...but we waited on opening presents until we got back from St. Paul's.

Immediate hits included bottles to feed the baby doll,

(and the toddler girl, when a hunger pang hit),

as well as the dump truck from Didima.

We are lucky to have so many people in our lives who love Sonali so much! We miss all of you and wish you a Merry Christmas!
