Time Warp: Marathon Edition

This Monday was Patriots' Day in Massachusetts which means it is Marathon Monday around these parts. The halfway point for the Boston Marathon is a quick walk from our house, really close to our neighborhood library.

Mom and Sonali were off from school, so we ventured down to watch the excitement.



Hummus in hand, Sonali was carefully watching the progress of all the runners - as they ran away from us! She especially liked the police officers who were running and the man in tails and a top hat. In his formalwear, he reminded Sonali of Benito Badoglio, from her book The Hat.

Here she is, two years ago, watching the same exciting race - this time focusing on the runners coming towards us!
