New Year, Easter, and Patriots Day

This weekend was full of holidays at the Fiorillo household.

First, Saturday was Bengali New Year, so "Shubho Nababarsha" to all of our faithful readers!

Saturday, Sonali also got her third haircut! Yes, we did see her hair in the ultrasound, and when most kids haven't even had their first cut, Sonali's on her third. We went to the "small town barber" who has probably owned his barber shop for the last 50 years. He's a nice guy, and Sonali's hair looks a lot better than when her parents tried to cut it...

Sunday was Sonali's first Easter, and we spent a busy day beginning with the local church service, followed by a neighborhood Egg Hunt, and winding down by making our own Easter eggs at home. Here's a couple pictures of Sonali in her Easter finest (courtesy of Grandma Linda).

Finally, today is Patriot's Day (a Massachusetts specific holiday) which is also the day of the Boston Marathon. The halfway point is a fifteen minute walk from our house, so Sonali and I went to watch all the runners. She joined in the cheering too!

Later today is the neighborhood fun run with events starting at the tender age of 18 months! This year, Sonali will be sticking to being a spectator...

Sonali - I like the haircut and the Easter ensemble. You are on your way to being quite a fashion plate.
